HC Deb 10 May 1927 vol 206 c185
5. Sir JOHN POWER

asked the Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been drawn to the action of the Sheffield City Council in refusing the use of municipal land for the purpose of Territorial drilling; and what action, if any, he proposes taking in the matter?

The SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Sir Laming Worthington-Evans)

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part, other satisfactory arrangements have now been made with the owner of private land, and I do not propose to take any further action in the matter.
