§ 20. Sir J. POWERasked the Minister of Transport what sums the Electricity Board expect to need to raise by loan during each of the next five years?
§ Colonel ASHLEYI am not in a position to give the information desired, but, as my hon. Friend is aware, it is apparent from the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1926, that the amounts which the Central Electricity Board may require to raise by loan in each of the next five years must depend upon a variety of factors, and it would not be possible at this date, even if it were desirable, to attempt to give any such forecast.
