HC Deb 10 May 1927 vol 206 cc201-2
37. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Secretary of State for Air if he has any estimate of the number of commercial and private aeroplanes and seaplanes to be manufactured by private firms in England during the present year; how many of these will be for export; and if he has any figures showing the number of aircraft to be manufactured by private firms for foreign Governments during the present year?

The SECRETARY of STATE for AIR (Sir Samuel Hoare)

I am advised that the figures for which the hon. and gallant Member asks are not available. They depend on the orders, largely from abroad, which may be received during the year, and the volume of which cannot be estimated.
