HC Deb 06 May 1927 vol 205 c1903

The following Question stood on the Order Paper in the name of Mr. KIRKWOOD:

1. To ask the Minister of Labour whether he is aware that during the period 2nd October, 1926, to 26th March, 1927, no fewer than 427 unemployed men and 10 women were transferred from the books of the Clydebank Labour Exchange to the local parish council; whether he is aware that these men have 910 dependants; and if ho can state what is the estimated saving to the Unemployment Insurance Fund?

Mr. Speaker, should I not have my question answered. It is down here for oral answer.

I think the hon. Member has made a mistake. Oral questions are not answered on Friday. He will receive a written reply.

Very good, Sir.
