HC Deb 04 May 1927 vol 205 cc1618-9
46. Sir EDWARD ILIFFE

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the fact that the Balfour Committee on industry and trade has taken evidence in regard to the working of the Department of Overseas Trade, he will arrange for the Committee's Report to be placed at the disposal of Members of the House; or, if the Report is not ready, whether he will arrange for a special Report to be obtained from the Committee respecting the working of the Department of Overseas Trade, and that such special Report be issued to Members?

The PRIME MINISTER

The Reports of the Balfour Committee are always published when they are received. I do not propose to ask the Committee to make a special review of the activities and organisation of the Department of Overseas Trade.
