HC Deb 04 May 1927 vol 205 c1608
25. Colonel PERKINS

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty if he can state the number of derelict war mines which have been discovered by British boats or brought into British waters within the last year; and where, in each case, they have been discovered?

Lieut.-Colonel HEADLAM

Five mines have been discovered during the last 12 months: One was washed ashore at Rottingdean; one was trawled up off Buchan Ness; two were washed ashore in Robin Hood's Bay; and one was dredged up off Peterhead.
