HC Deb 30 March 1927 vol 204 c1261
77. Mr. LANSBURY

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can give the House any further in formation relative to the shooting which recently took place at Singapore; and has he yet decided whether a special public inquiry into the circumstances connected with this incident should be held?

The SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Mr. Amery)

I understand that the inquest is still proceeding, and I am not yet in a position to add anything to the reply returned to the hon. Member on the 16th March.

Mr. LANSBURY

Can the right hon. Gentleman say when he is likely to be able to give any further information?

Mr. AMERY

I am not sure how long the inquest proceedings will take. Perhaps the hon. Gentleman will put down a question in a week's time.
