HC Deb 30 March 1927 vol 204 cc1233-4
27. Sir B. FALLE

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty why the English crew of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary "Dredgol" were paid off and sent home from Malta, and the vessel manned by a Maltese crew?

Lieut.-Colonel HEADLAM

The employment of locally entered crews in Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessels engaged on station duties abroad is in accordance with the usual Admiralty practice.
