§ The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for INDIA (Earl Winterton)My hon. and gallant friend has on doubt seen in the Press references to the arrest in Calcutta in January, and to the subsequent conviction in Bombay, of a certain George Allison, who is well known in this country as a Communist. He was arrested and convicted on charges of using a forged passport, of counterfeiting the seal and stamp of the Foreign Office, and of having entered India in contravention of the Indian Passport Regulations.
