HC Deb 24 March 1927 vol 204 c548
36. Mr. TINKER

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware of cases in which a member of a board of guardians who is a member of the legal profession acts professionally for the board of which he is a member; and whether he will take steps to prevent this practice?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

My attention has not been drawn to cases of this kind, and, on present information, it does not appear that action on my part is necessary. A guardian who acts professionally and for payment for the board of which he is a member would be disqualified for membership.
