§ 30. Mr. BARRasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can give any explanation of the reasons prompting the emigration from Palestine of 7,340 Jews during the year 1926, as against 13,056 immigrants during the same year; and whether he can make any statement as to their destination?
§ Mr. AMERYThe emigration of Jews from Palestine in 1926 was no doubt due to unemployment in that territory, particularly during the latter part of the year, when Jewish emigration exceeded Jewish immigration. No information is available as to the destination of emigrants.
