HC Deb 17 March 1927 vol 203 c2185
43. Major BRAITHWAITE

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will consider, in view of the serious epidemic of influenza, releasing from bond the requirements of responsible druggists of sherry used for medicinal purposes?

Mr. CHURCHILL

I am informed that special consideration is given by the Commissioners of Customs and Excise to applications for the delivery of wine to be used in the manufacture of medicated wines.
