HC Deb 17 March 1927 vol 203 c2195
74. Mr. GILLETT

asked the Secretary of State for War whether, in the Army Estimates for the year 1927, it is estimated that the amount of stores held by the Army at the end of the financial year 1927 will have increased or decreased; and what is the estimated value of such changes?

The SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Sir Laming Worthington-Evans)

On the whole stocks of Army stores will decrease during 1927, owing to the consumption of war surpluses. I am not in a position to estimate the total money value of such decrease, but the hon. Member will find certain information on pages 143 and 151 of the Estimates for 1927.
