HC Deb 16 March 1927 vol 203 cc1983-4
15. Mr. H. WILLIAMS

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether further papers with regard to labour conditions in China will be published; and, if so, when?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. Godfrey Locker-Lampson)

The question is under consideration. I will give my hon. Friend definite information as soon as possible.

Mr. MARDY JONES

When this report is being prepared, can we have a clear distinction shown of the labour conditions prevailing in the British-owned factories and the Japanese and Chines factories? It would be very useful to know the facts?

Mr. LOCKER-LAMPSON

The whole question is now under consideration.
