§ Sir K. WOODThe numbers of houses built in England and Wales under the Housing Acts during the six months ended 31st December, 1926, were 37,820 by local authorities, and 43,958 by private enterprise. The corresponding figures for the half years ended 30th June, 1626, and 31st December, 1925, were 30,684 and 32,157; and 21,624 and 33,580 respectively.
