§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSThe Commissioner of Police informs me that there is no evidence of any recent increase in this class of crime in the Metropolitan Police Area. The police do of course take 2022 all possible steps to prevent this kind of crime, so far as they are able, and to trace the thieves when cases occur.
