asked the Minister of Health whether his attention has been called to the conditions in which quantities of ice which may be used in drinking fluids are carted through the streets; and whether he will take powers to ensure cleanliness in the interests of public health?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I am advised that the risks to health arising from surface contamination of ice under the circumstances to which the hon. Member refers are not such as to call for the institution of special measures.
