HC Deb 21 June 1927 vol 207 cc1671-2
60. Captain CROOKSHANK

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury if he is aware that holders of off-licences are not permitted to sell single half-bottles of spirits to their customers, even in case of illness; and whether he proposes to take any steps to amend the law in this matter?

Mr. McNEILL

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the second part, I must ask my hon. and gallant Friend to await the Debate on the Clause which certain hon. Members have put down for the Committee stage of the Finance Bill.
