HC Deb 21 June 1927 vol 207 c1674
64. Sir F. HALL

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, what is the number of persons connected with the Soviet diplomatic and trading delegations still remaining here; and what is the number of persons connected with the British mission in Russia who have remained behind in that country?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. Godfrey Locker-Lampson)

I assume that my hon. and gallant Friend is referring to Soviet citizens left in this country and to British subjects left in the Soviet Union. As regards the former, I would ask my hon. and gallant Friend to await the statement which I understand the Home Secretary intends to make on Thursday. No British subject connected with the British Mission now remains in the Soviet Union.
