I beg to move, in page 1, line 12, after the word "destroying," to insert the words "insects and other invertebrates, rats, mice or other small ground."

I objected to this Bill on Second Reading on the ground that the word "vermin" was too vague and endangered wild birds especially. I understand that the form in which I have put the Amendment is agreeable to the promoters of the Bill.

I beg to move, in page 1, line 18, at, the end, to insert the words "and wild birds."

This Amendment is moved to include wild birds among those to be safeguarded from the laying of poison.
