HC Deb 15 June 1927 vol 207 cc1006-7
59. Sir R. HUTCHISON (for Mr. WIGGINS)

asked the Secretary for Mines whether any steps have been taken to amend the method of ascertaining the transfer prices of coal for the purposes of wage calculations, as recommended on page 140 of the Report of the Royal Commission on the Coal Industry, 1926?

Colonel LANE FOX

I understand that in the negotiation of the new wage agreements extended discussion took place, in some of the districts, in regard to the machinery to be adopted for checking coal transfer prices. I am not, however, in possession of detailed information as to the methods adopted in each case.
