HC Deb 15 June 1927 vol 207 c1009
66. Sir F. WISE

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what financial benefit the agreement with Messrs. Cox and Darks for salving the German warships has been to the taxpayer?

Lieut.-Colonel HEAD LAM

I have been asked to reply. The vessels sold to Messrs. Cox and Danks have been paid for at fixed prices; it would be contrary-to the public interest to give details of the price at which they were sold.
