§ 5. Mr. HARRISasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether copies of the Report of the Economic Conference organised by the League of Nations at Geneva have been sent to him; and whether he will consider publishing it in this country?
§ Sir A. CHAMBERLAINYes, Sir; I have received copies of the Report in the ordinary way as a publication of the League of Nations. It is on sale for the price of one shilling and I do not propose to lay it as a Parliamentary Paper. His Majesty's Government cannot incur the considerable and unnecessary expense involved in reprinting League publications which are readily obtainable by other means.
§ Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHYIs there to be any commentary by the Government on the proposals of the Conference?
§ Mr. SPEAKERThat question hardly arises here.
§ Mr. HARRISAre we to understand that any member of the public can get these documents in the ordinary way?
§ Sir A. CHAMBERLAINYes, Sir. The League have their own publishers or representatives in this country from whom any of these publications can be obtained either directly or through the ordinary trade sources.
