§ 69. Mr. W. BAKERasked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that the traffic congestion which prevails in the East End of London is aggravated by the growing district of Harold Wood, Essex, and the infrequent train service provided by the London and North Eastern Railway Company for the residents in that district; and whether he will refer these matters to the consideration of the London Traffic Advisory Committee?
§ Viscount CURZONMy right hon. Friend is aware that traffic congestion in the East End of London is aggravated by the extensive building operations going on in outlying districts, including Harold Wood. This problem has already been investigated by the London Traffic Advisory Committee, and is covered by their Report on Travelling Facilities in East London.
