HC Deb 28 July 1927 vol 209 c1432
17. Mr. PALIN

asked the Minister of Health whether, and to what extent, he is prepared to take responsibility for the acts of an approved society, acting as agent for the Ministry, in the administration of the National Health Insurance and Widows', Orphans', and Old Age Contributory Pensions Acts?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I do not think that approved societies can properly be described as agents of the Ministry in the administration of the National Health Insurance and Contributory Pensions Acts, but I assume that the hon. Member has a specific case in mind, and if he will furnish me with particulars, I will look into it.
