§ 29. Mr. R. MORRISONasked the Minister of Transport whether he is now able to give any further information upon the proposals of the London Traffic Advisory Committees for the co-ordination of London passenger-carrying transport; and whether he proposes to publish the Committees' Report?
§ The MINISTER of TRANSPORT (Colonel Ashley)The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. I hope, however, to receive the Committee's Report at an early date. Until I have had an opportunity of considering it I cannot arrive at any decision as to its publication.
§ Mr. MORRISONDoes the right hon. Gentleman realise that after three inquiries, in which many of the local authorities took part, there is an increasing anxiety on their part to know whether any result is to come out of all these exhaustive inquiries? Will the right hon. Gentleman make a statement of some sort for the satisfaction of the local authorities?
§ Colonel ASHLEYIt is obvious that I could not make any statement until I receive the Report, and then I shall have to consider it very carefully.
§ Mr. MORRISONWill the right hon. Gentleman say when he expects to receive the Report?
§ Colonel ASHLEYI think the Report will come in this week. I hope so.
