HC Deb 21 July 1927 vol 209 c566
48. Major Sir ARCHIBALD SINCLAIR

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is preparing an agricultural credit scheme for Scotland?

Major ELLIOT

The matter is under consideration; but my right hon. Friend is not in a position at present to make any statement upon it.

Sir A. SINCLAIR

Does that mean that there is to be no agricultural credit scheme for Scotland? Does it mean that while there is to be an agricultural credit scheme for England and Wales, there is to be none for Scotland?

Major ELLIOT

It means what it says, that the matter is under consideration.
