HC Deb 20 July 1927 vol 209 c403
48. Major BRAITHWAITE

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he will consider, as an immediate aid to agriculture and to increase the production of the land, the provision of manure and fertiliser free on rail at the nearest station to the farmers?

Mr. GUINNESS

I am afraid that a scheme of the nature suggested in the question could not be entertained by the Government.
