asked the Minister of Transport how many meetings have been held of the Central Electricity Board; and when it is anticipated that the first scheme will be submitted?

The first scheme was published by the Board on 11th May. After consideration of the representations which had been made, the scheme was adopted as modified by the Board on 99th June and published in accordance with the provisions of Section 4 (2) of the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1926, on 1st July. I have no information on the point raised in the first part of the question.

Has the Minister reason to believe the members of this Board are fully earning the money the House has granted?

More than fully earning it.

Are the dates the right hon. Gentleman has given the only dates on which the Board has met?
