HC Deb 20 July 1927 vol 209 c382
7. Mr. PONSONBY

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether any negotiations are proceeding with the Egyptian Government as to the four reserved points; and, if so, when he will be able to make any statement to this House on the subject?

Sir A. CHAMBERLAIN

I have naturally taken advantage of His Excellency's presence in this country to discuss Anglo-Egyptian relations with him, but it is not his intention or mine to conclude any new agreement during this visit.
