§ 45. Lieut.-Colonel HOWARD-BURYasked the Prime Minister whether he will again consider the possibility of summoning a representative conference of all parties interested in agriculture, with a view to arriving at an agreed policy by which arable acreage may be maintained and regular employment and adequate wages secured to the agricultural worker?

This attempt to secure a representative conference failed, and I do not think that the revival of the proposal would serve any useful purpose at the present time
