asked the Prime Minister what arrangements have been made for the direction of the Colonial Office and Dominion Office during the period when the Secretary of State will be absent abroad?

The PRIME MINISTER

As regards the Colonial Office, my right hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State will act as Secretary of State; he will also be responsible for the Chairmanship of the Empire Marketing Board. As regards the Dominions Office, I myself will act as Secretary of State, and during my absence abroad Lord Balfour has undertaken to perform the duties of the post.
