HC Deb 13 July 1927 vol 208 cc2140-1
49. Mr. DALTON

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can furnish to the House information concerning the seizure in arms and ammunition, the number of seizures, with the quantity, kind and destination of armament, the dates of seizures, and the shipping companies of vessels transporting the armament, which have been made in Singapore since the Singapore Order in Council of the 29th November, 1924, came into operation?

Mr. AMERY

I regret that I am not in a position to supply the information desired.

Mr. DALTON

Is it not possible to obtain the information?

Mr. AMERY

It would involve the collection of a good deal of data which hitherto it has not been thought worth while to collect.
