11. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty how many armoured and protected cruisers, respectively, were detailed for service with the Grand and Mediterranean Fleets and other battle fleets on the outbreak of war in 1914; how many protected cruisers were allocated for service with the flotillas not attached to the battle fleets; and how many armoured and protected cruisers, respectively, were allocated to foreign stations and for service on the trade routes in home and foreign waters?

The Minelaying Squadron consisting of seven light cruisers and cruisers at the home ports in dockyard hands are not included in the above figures.
