HC Deb 05 July 1927 vol 208 cc1074-5
17. Mr. G. HALL

asked the Secretary for Mines whether any further report may soon be anticipated from the Committee of the Physical and Chemical Survey of National Coal Resources; and what are the names of those serving on the Committee?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of EDUCATION (Lord Eustace Percy)

I have been asked to reply. The hon. Member appears to be under a misapprehension as to the organisation of the Physical and Chemical Survey of the National Coal Resources, and I would refer him to the Annual Reports of the Fuel Research Board for 1924 and 1925 for full information on this point. There are at present six local committees for this survey, containing in all 56 members. Up to date particulars are contained in the Annual Report of Fuel Research Board for 1926, which will be published this week. This also contains a list of all publications of the Board. Reports on various details of the work are published as rapidly as they can be prepared; the ninth paper of the Survey Series is in the Press, and others are in an advanced stage of preparation.
