HC Deb 28 February 1927 vol 203 c10
16. Mr. LANSBURY

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether the Indian delegates to the International Economic Conference have yet been appointed; and, if so, whether he will inform the House as to the personnel of the delegation?

Earl WINTERTON

My Noble Friend has been in communication with the Government of India on this matter, but as some of the delegates selected have not yet signified their willingness to serve I would prefer to make no statement.

Mr. LANSBURY

When the selection is made, will the Noble Lord take some means of informing the House?

Earl WINTERTON

Yes. I shall be pleased to inform the hon. Member privately when the final selection has been made, so that he can put down a question.
