§ 34. Sir WILFRID SUGDENasked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs which of the Dominions have yet appointed Ambassadors to foreign countries; and if on such appointment their Ambassadors operate in consultation with British Ambassadors or entirely free?
§ Mr. AMERYHis Majesty the King has been pleased to appoint Ministers at Washington to represent the interests of Canada and the Irish Free State respectively. As regards the relations between these Ministers and His Majesty's Ambassador at Washington, I would invite reference to the statement made by the then Secretary of State for the Colonies on the 26th June, 1924, on the occasion of the appointment of the Irish Free State Minister. The position is similar in the case of the Canadian Minister.
