HC Deb 23 February 1927 vol 202 c1739
45. Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

asked the Prime Minister whether invitations have been sent to the Governments of His Majesty's self-governing Dominions to send troops to China to co-operate with the British troops; what replies have been received; and whether it is intended to lay the correspondence upon the Table?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Baldwin)

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative, and, accordingly, the remainder of the question does not arise.

Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

Has the right hon. Gentleman seen the Reports of the Debates in the Canadian Parliament, in which it is stated that there have been communications?

The PRIME MINISTER

I have not seen them myself, but I was told that no statement of any kind was made. In any case, there has been no correspondence at all.
