§ Mr. CHURCHILLThe Debt payments made by His Majesty's Government to the United States in 1926 amounted in round figures to. £35,000,000 sterling, of which £28,000,000 was in respect of interest, and £5,000,000 in respect of repayment of capital on the debt to the United States Government, and £2,000,000 was in respect of interest on market loans in the United States.
