HC Deb 15 February 1927 vol 202 c737
33. Mr. LIVINGSTONE

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether any changes in the Scottish land policy of the Government are now under contemplation?

Major ELLIOT

No decision has been taken as to any change in the Scottish land policy of the Government.

Mr. MACPHERSON

May I ask whether there is any truth in the rumour that my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland intends to abolish the Board of Agriculture for Scotland?

Major ELLIOT

There is no such suggestion. As the right hon. Member knows, notice has been given in the King's Speech of a certain reorganisation of offices, but this will not amount to abolition of the Board of Agriculture.
