HC Deb 14 February 1927 vol 202 c549
46. Mr. CADOGAN

asked the Prime Minister whether it is the intention of the Government to introduce any legislation this Session dealing with slum clearance?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of HEALTH (Sir Kingsley Wood)

I have been asked to reply. This matter is engaging the attention of the Government, but my right hon. Friend does not think it will be practicable to introduce a Bill during the present Session.

Mr. ALBERY

Will the hon. Gentleman consider amending the 1924 Building Act, with a view to assisting rebuilding?

Sir K. WOOD

I will bring that to the notice of my right hon. Friend.
