HC Deb 14 February 1927 vol 202 c540
16. Colonel WOODCOCK

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies the sum paid to the Director of the Imperial Institute as his total share of the profits on the Imperial Institute Bulletin during the years 1913 to 1924; and whether he proposes that the sharing of profits shall continue while this officer is holding a full-time public position?

Mr. A. M. SAMUEL (Secretary, Overseas Trade Department)

I have been asked to reply. The Director in charge of the Imperial Institute during the years mentioned by my hon. and gallant Friend resigned in 1924. The present Director was not appointed until January, 1926. The sum received by the former Director, as his share of profits accruing from the Bulletin during the 12 years 1913 to 1924, amounted according to available information to £162 6s. The arrangement with regard to the sharing of profits accruing from the Bulletin ceased in 1924 on the resignation of the former Director, and there is no intention of reviving it.
