HC Deb 20 December 1927 vol 212 c224
Colonel WEDGWOOD

(by Private Notice) asked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he can give any account of the disturbances at Petach Tikvah, when the police attacked the strikers, gravely wounding five Jewish women and nine men; whether the police were Arabs, and will he institute an inquiry into the matter?

Mr. ORMSBY-GORE

I will answer this and another question on the same subject of which the hon. Member for East Woolwich (Mr. Snell) has given me Notice together. I have no information about the disturbance which is stated to have occurred at Petach Tikvah beyond what has appeared in the Press, but I am asking the High Commissioner for a report by telegraph.
