HC Deb 20 December 1927 vol 212 cc197-8
16. Mr. JENKINS

asked the Secretary for Mines if he is aware that the Glyncorrwg Colliery Company closed down their collieries in June 1925, and went into liquidation and a receiver was appointed, and the collieries were dismantled by November, 1925; and, as there were 97 injured workmen who were entitled to compensation and ranked as preferential creditors and have not received any payment from the result of the sale, will he cause inquiries to be made to ascertain the reason of the delay in making these payments?

Sir B. CHADWICK

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave him yesterday, to which I have nothing to add.
