HC Deb 19 December 1927 vol 212 cc22-3
46. Mr. R. MORRISON

asked the Prime Minister whether he can now state the policy of the Government with respect to the future of the Ministry of Transport, Department of Mines, and Department of Overseas Trade, respectively?

The PRIME MINISTER

No, Sir.

Mr. MORRISON

Did not the Prime Minister definitely promise to make a statement before the House adjourned, and is he not in a position to do so, either to-day or to-morrow, or Wednesday, or Thursday? Surely we should get some answer from the Prime Minister?

The PRIME MINISTER

I have answered the question.

Mr. T. WILLIAMS

Will the right hon. Gentleman be willing to meet a deputation?

The PRIME MINISTER

Perhaps the hon. Member is not aware that I am meeting a deputation to-morrow.

Mr. MORRISON

Does the Prime Minister propose to make a statement before the House rises?

The PRIME MINISTER

That is another question, and I shall require notice of it.
