§ Mr. BUCHANANWhen will the hon. Gentleman be prepared to give an answer? He stated, some time ago, that this question would he settled at an early date, and I would like to know if any date can be stated.
§ Mr. SAMUELI cannot for the moment give a date, but I can say that the position is actually under examination, and obviously I am not in a position to say anything until the examination is concluded.
§ Mr. W. THORNEIs the hon. Gentleman aware that to-day one of the Ministers is asking for £900,000 to subsidise sugar-beet?
