§ Sir J. GILMOURThe Board of Agriculture have recently made surveys of typical areas in Scotland which will assist in the consideration of this question. The matter is of importance to Scottish agriculture; but I can hold out no hope of a State subsidy for the establishment or reopening of lime kilns as recommended by the Agricultural Conference.
