§ 44. Mr. HORE-BELISHAasked the Minister of Health what is the mortality during the last five years of persons suffering from tuberculosis?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe crude death-rates in England and Wales from all forms of tuberculosis for the years 1922 to 1926 were respectively 1,121, 1,062, 1554 1,058, 1,038, and 961 per million persons living. The hon. Member will find further information as to the decline in the mortality from tuberculosis in recent years on pages 42 and 43 of the last Annual Report of my Department.
