HC Deb 06 December 1927 vol 211 cc1156-7
17. Mr. LAMB

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will publish a statement setting out the tariff and sanitary restrictions imposed upon the importation of condensed skimmed milk into foreign countries and British Dominions, Colonies and Possessions?

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

I am not in possession of information beyond that which has already been communicated to the House by the Minister of Health; and to give a complete statement of these restrictions in all foreign and British overseas countries would involve very considerable labour. If my hon. Friend desires, however, I would endeavour to obtain further information in respect of the most important of these countries, and would communicate it to him when available.

Mr. LAMB

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that in some of these countries this article is excluded as being undesirable?

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

I think a list of the countries from which it is excluded was given by the Minister of Health, but, if my hon. Friend would see my Department and see if there be any further information not given in these answers which would be useful, I will do my best, within reason, to get him anything that I can.
