Dr. VERNON DAVIESasked the Minister of Health if he will give for the 684 last three years for which statistics are available the number of inspections under the Food and Drugs Act; the number of samples analysed; the percentage of adulterations; and the number of prosecutions in England and Wales?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI have no record of the number of inspections made or prosecutions undertaken under the Sale of Food and Drugs Acts. I am circulating in the OFFICIAL REPORT a statement showing the number of samples analysed under the Acts, the number reported to be adulterated, and the percentage of adulterations in England and Wales for each of the calendar years 1924, 1925, and 1926.
